How did you come up with the idea to offer these items?
We saw a lack of custom hoodies available to be purchased online and so we decided to start offering them.
We started out by purchasing some blank custom hoodies from a wholesaler and then asked friends, family, and colleagues for their input on what designs they would like to see.
After getting some feedback, we created our first set of four custom designs and posted them on our website. We’ve since received great reviews and feedback on the quality of the products as well as the customer service that accompanies them.
Where do you find inspiration for new designs?
For me, inspiration comes from my day-to-day life. I always have a camera on hand and take pictures of anything that catches my eye.
Sometimes I’ll even ask for permission to photograph strangers as they walk by. There’s no limit to what you’ll find as a source of inspiration, whether it’s people, nature, or architecture.
Once I’ve amassed enough photos, I’ll get to work in Photoshop and start creating new designs.
I think the hardest part about starting a design is coming up with an idea for the first one. It might sound like common sense, but don’t be afraid to play around until something starts looking good—and then experiment some more!
