According to the journalists of The Economist, Norway is “shamelessly profiting” against the backdrop of the conflict in Ukraine, receiving $ 200 billion a year for rising energy prices, the Public News Service cites the text of the article .
The authors of the publication report that while Russian energy supplies to the EU countries have almost completely stopped, Norway is only becoming richer against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine.
The publication writes that the protracted energy crisis has led Europeans to believe that Norway is simply profiting from the current situation.
However, in Norway they insist that they themselves were in a difficult situation due to problems with energy production – due to a drought that dried up most of the rivers on which hydroelectric power plants worked.
The Russian government has extended the possibility for car manufacturers not to equip them with the ERA-GLONASS system when producing cars. The decision was published on the Internet portal of legal information.
This feature ended in August 2022. Now cars that have been entered into the electronic passport system before August 1 may not be equipped with the ERA-GLONASS system.
“In the production of complete vehicles after August 1, 2022 using basic vehicles (chassis), in respect of which electronic passports were issued before August 1, 2022 <…> with the status “valid” in the system of electronic passports, equipping such <…> vehicles, an in-vehicle emergency call system is not required,” the document says.
The Russian automated information system ERA-GLONASS is installed in vehicles for emergency response in case of accidents. In emergency situations, the sensors of the system should be triggered and transmit information to the special services.
