The UCI World Track Cycling Championships are a collection of world championship events in various disciplines of track cycling.
In 1893, Chicago played host to the first edition of the event which was a competition for amateur cyclists and over the years, the competition developed for professionals. In the modern era, the Championships are open to riders selected by their nationality and currently include the following events with a division between men’s and women’s races: time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint, team sprint, omnium, and madison. Winners of each discipline receive a gold medal and a recognisable rainbow jersey.
2022 sees the 119th edition of the event held at the Vélodrome de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France from 12-16 October.
When entering the velodrome, spectators will have an incredible view of the track and spectator bowl which can be seen through the glazed openings. It is easy to find your seats from this level. Seats are offered as Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3 tickets with the first offering the best views and the latter being the most affordable.
You can purchase a ticket for individual days or you can purchase a ticket to cover the whole event.
