Bhrigu Lake Trek Itinerary.
Day 01- Gulaba to Rola Kholi
To get to Gulaba, we drive 15 kilometres from Manali to Rohtang Pass. We begin our walk in this picturesque community.
The panoramic vista of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar snow ranges may be seen right at the start of this walk. The mind is initially taken aback by the sight of nature.
While hiking gently from Gulaba to Rola Kholi, you can experience the splendour of nature. The Himalayan meadows are approximately 11,000 feet in elevation.
Other Himalayan hikes normally need at least two days of rigorous climbing to reach the meadow. On the first day of the Bhrigu Lake Trek, however, you arrive to the brilliant meadows in half an hour.
As you ascend the mountain, you will witness verdant meadows with herds of wild horses and sheep grazing. Throughout your journey, you will be surrounded by thick cedar, oak, and pine forests.
You don’t realise when you get to the Rola Kholi Campsite of your stay after a long climb because you’re so engrossed in the beauty of nature. The rally room campground is stunning. This location is in the heart of the snow mountains.
In front of you is a gushing torrent of water and a snow-capped mountain range. Everything about this is fantastic.
There, you enjoy the unique sensation of sleeping in a tent at night. If the weather is clear, you’ll be awestruck by the stars glittering in the sky and the snow-capped mountains glowing in the moonlight. When a tired body falls asleep under this galaxy, no one knows.
Day 02- Rola Kholi to Bhrigu lake
The hike should begin at 6 a.m., with breakfast and a packed lunch. The rationale for leaving early in the morning is that the weather in the Himalayas changes more often after 12,500 feet in the afternoon. The elevation of Bhrigu Lake is 14100 feet. Today you must complete the final mountain ascent in 4 to 5 hours.
Beautiful colourful meadows may be seen after climbing one step of the mountain. If you go trekking in May and June, you will have to go through snow more frequently. If the weather is clear, Hanuman Tibba, Dev Tibba, Indrasen, and other Manali snow peaks can be seen.
You must cautiously climb the final stage through the rocky terrain. Also, be cautious when descending. You pass through the rocky section and see your first glimpse of Bhrigu Lake in front of you. Bhrigu Lake is easily accessible from here. The satisfaction of successfully ascending 14,100 feet is unique.
The lake is quite little. However, the sight from Bhrigu Lake is breathtaking. It’s difficult to put into words. There is an incredible sense of calm there. This explains why the Bhrigu sages may have picked this location. You can easily spend an hour here. You can eat your lunch here. Carry your plastic rubbish with you.
You should begin landing immediately rather than waiting for the weather to worsen. Take care on steep slopes. You should arrive at the campsite in two to three hours.
Day 03- Rola Kholi to Gulaba
You can begin your return journey in the morning with breakfast. You can get down quickly since you have learnt how to walk well in the previous two days of the hike. However, caution must be exercised when descending.
Call a taxi from Manali to Gulaba village as soon as you leave the campsite; this will save you time waiting for your taxi. When you get in Manali, spend the evening shopping on the famed Mall Road.
The next day, you can explore the nearby tourist attractions in Manali or depart with fond recollections of the Bhrigu Lake Trek.
