The 3 Best Microwave Convection Recipes
There is no doubt that the microwave has a lot of benefits. It’s convenient, quick and easy to use, and it can heat up your food faster than any other method. But what about convection cooking? Convection ovens are becoming more popular among home cooks as they allow you to cook foods in an oven-like setting but without having to turn on all the burners or open both doors of your oven at once. That’s where microwaves come in!
Here are some of my favorite recipes for using my microwave as a convection oven:
Spicy Corn Soup
Corn kernels
Onion, peeled and minced
Garlic, minced (about 2 cloves)
Chili powder, ground cumin and ground coriander (1/2 teaspoon each)
Tomato paste (about 1 tablespoon)
In a large bowl or measuring cup, combine all ingredients. Heat in the microwave on high for 2 minutes or until heated through. Set aside until ready to serve. Serve garnished with fresh cilantro leaves if desired!

Chocolate Lava Cake
Chocolate Lava Cake is a delicious and decadent dessert that’s perfect for any time of year. The recipe combines chocolate cake, vanilla pudding, and cool whipped cream to create a rich and creamy combination.
This recipe can be made in a regular microwave or an oven-safe convection microwave! If you have an oven-safe convection microwave, simply place your ingredients on the plate inside (the plate will be placed on top of your baking dish). Cook at high power until the top surface starts to crackle slightly around edges (about 3 minutes). Then reduce heat to low and continue cooking until center reaches 170 degrees fahrenheit when tested with skewer/fork inserted into center—about another 5 minutes or so depending on how warm it gets inside during cooking process—then remove from oven immediately before doing anything else because if left out too long there may be burning issues caused by excessive heat buildup inside container causing rapid evaporation which could lead other problems as well like warping pans/cups etc..
Spaghetti Carbonara
Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted water until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain pasta and return to pot with 1 cup of pasta water.
Heat butter and oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat; add garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly (to prevent browning).
Add wine and cook for about 5 minutes, until reduced by half. Add the sauce to the pasta, along with Parmesan cheese and parsley; stir until combined. Remove from heat; serve immediately.
Quinoa Salad with Crispy Vegetables
Ingredients:
1 cup quinoa, rinsed and drained
3 cups chicken or vegetable broth (or water)
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
How to make it: In a large saucepan over medium heat, add quinoa and cook until all of the liquid has been absorbed and the kernels are tender. This can take anywhere from 8-12 minutes depending on how much broth you use. Add in your desired spices/salt seasoning to taste before serving! This dish is best eaten cold with some fresh greens on top like lettuce or spinach. If you want to make this healthier try using no oil at all instead of just one tablespoon per serving!
